Kanye West amidst another album drop fiasco is making the news again. This time not for any anti-semitic remarks but for having his teeth replaced by lavish titanium dentures.
West had just posted an Instagram story, showing off the new dentures that he had put in his mouth. A source has revealed that the new dentures are ‘more expensive than diamonds’ and were designed by West himself.
The implant is said to be a brand-new surgical model, with the total cost rumored to be a massive $850,000. In another Instagram story, Kanye West compared his new look to James Bond Villian, Jaws, who appeared in both The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker.
Screenshots of the rapper’s stories can be seen below:
The star’s new dentures were fitted by Dr Thomas Connelly in Beverly Hills alongside Naoki Hayashi, Master Dental Technician. “Ye was a pleasure to work with every step of the process,” Dr. Connelly told Daily Mail. “His vision for designing unique art transcends the dental progression. The marriage of his Vision with dental science has created a new look that is epic!”
Kanye West had to have reconstructive surgery on his face and jaw following a near-fatal car accident in 2002. Throughout his career, the 46-year-old father of four has discussed his accident often in his music such as in his debut hit song Through The Wire.
If there is one thing that we have learned from every time Kanye has been in the news, it’s that he never fails to shock us.
In music, Ye has fans patiently waiting for his upcoming joint album with Ty Dolla $ign, titled Vultures, which has been pushed back multiple times. Originally slated for a release in mid-December, it is now set to release on 9th February 2024.
