Apple is preparing to launch its first-ever Augmented Reality headset – The Vision Pro. Unveiled last year in June at the WWDC, the tech giant said that the headset will be available for purchase in early 2024.
The Vision Pro is set to run on visionOS, an operating system designed to provide users with an immersive experience. This technology allows users to control applications effortlessly through a combination of eye movements, hand gestures, and voice commands.
Renowned Apple analyst Mark Gurman recently endorsed the release date, pinpointing January 26 as the day the Vision Pro will hit the market. Gurman’s insights coincide with Ming-Chi Kuo’s report, which suggests that the Vision Pro will be available in early February. The Vision Pro will be limited to retail stores in the United States. According to a recent Bloomberg report, customers must schedule an appointment at an Apple Store to check whether the headset fits them comfortably. The item will reportedly be produced at the company’s China factory.
The original iPad was released on a Saturday. Jan 26 is indeed the date floating around the last few days among people in China who claim to be connected to Apple. Like I said, units will be ready by end of January with a retail launch by February. It’s imminent.
