Alone In The Dark Delayed To January 2024
Alone in the Dark was going to be released in October of 2023 But was pushed to a release of January 2024. Alone in the Dark is being developed by Pieces Interactive, and the Publishers are THQ Nordic.
Reason for the Delay:
Alone in the Dark has been in development for a long time. After its release in August 2022, many gamers have been awaiting its release. But THQ Nordic has delayed Alone in the Dark to release in January 2024 because of a busy slate in October.
2023 has had many new or sequel AAA and AA games released every month, and the rest of the year is no joke, either. October was full of releases with AAA games like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake 2, Super Mario Bros., Wonder, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage. So, it was a strategic and advantageous choice for THQ Nordic to delay Alone in the Dark. We allow it to be released without facing head-to-head with other AAA games.
Here are THQ Nordic’s words about the delay:
“Our intention is to avoid competing with the wake of Alan’s epic release and to evade the dazzling skyline of cities adorned by the graceful swings of Spider-Man,” THQ Nordic explained in a press release. “We aim to remain as Alone in the Dark as possible truly. To honor this, the spine-chilling horror game has been rescheduled to unveil its horrors on January 16, 2024. This extension will serve a dual purpose: not only will it permit us to perfect the gaming experience meticulously, but it will also grant us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the remarkable releases of October fully.”
Story of Alone in the Dark:
Alone in the Dark is a classic survival horror, gothic and psychological Thriller. It follows a haunting story through the eyes of Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood, the game’s two protagonists.
