Detroit: Become Human has officially sold over 10 million copies, making it the second most popular choice-and-consequence
Detroit: Become Human was released in 2018 and became an instant hit, accumulating millions of fans in a short period. To this day it is considered one of the best “choice and consequences” games. The Game was remarkably well received, and its popularity is increasing. Almost six years later, the game has officially sold over 10 million copies, making it the second most popular choice-and-consequence game.
In a recent X (formally known as Twitter) post, Guillaume de Fondaumière, the CEO of Quantic Dream, said:
The entire Quantic Dream team is joining me to proudly announce that (Detroit: Become Human) has now sold in excess of 10 million (paid) units on PlayStation and PC.
We are extremely grateful to each and everyone out there who played the game. You mean the world to us and we couldn’t have achieved this incredible milestone without every single one of you!
When Detroit: Become Human was released, Quantic Dream was under fire for allegedly having a toxic work environment. Surprisingly, this didn’t affect the sales of the game, and now fans are looking forward to seeing a sequel that will expand the story.
